The Political Theatre series features humorous speculative assemblages of appropriated
photographic backdrops, paper dolls, a soda bottle commemorating Obama’s 2008
victory, a matryoshka doll of Russian dictators, and dollhouse furniture. The use of
kitschy objects reduces politics to flimsy entertainment, theatre, and children’s play.
